Sabemos que a adi\u00e7\u00e3o leva a “pris\u00f5es, hospitais e morte”, e que o objectivo primordial de NA \u00e9 o de transmitir a mensagem de recupera\u00e7\u00e3o ao adicto que ainda sofre. N\u00e3o surpreende, assim, que transmitir a mensagem dentro de hospitais e de institui\u00e7\u00f5es seja uma das nossas principais prioridades. Os membros de NA t\u00eam apoiado esta posi\u00e7\u00e3o ao constitu\u00edrem por todo o mundo comiss\u00f5es para hospitais e institui\u00e7\u00f5es (H&I). Mas alguns membros de NA t\u00eam relut\u00e2ncia em se envolver em trabalho H&I porque nunca estiveram hospitalizados ou internados numa institui\u00e7\u00e3o, ou porque receiam n\u00e3o ter nada para oferecer.
